Meanwhile, alarms would alert a technician, who would quickly restore redundancy. In the meantime, servers and client sites would experience no downtime. We also keep spare servers online in all CPU configurations. If a server ever experiences a hardware failure, we simply turn a key, grab the handle on the drive, pull it out and insert a new, identical standby CPU. The new server is up and running again in a matter of moments. Our downtime is negligible. All hard drives use RAID technology for constant backup of data.
